The client relationship

I support the JSX team on a range of culture change and employee experience projects to help improve the way organisations communicate with their employees.

These include creative copywriting for: 

  • Purpose statements

  • Values

  • Behaviours

  • Employee Value Propositions (EVPs)

  • Narrative for colleague engagement handbooks and corporate booklets, and

  • External marketing campaigns, such as recruitment.

A common focus of my work is to bring the content to life for an employee through storytelling, explaining exactly what the messages mean to them and their work.

I usually take creative briefs via video call. It’s an efficient way to collect all the information I need for the task. I ask (sometimes challenging) questions to confirm my understanding and make sense of the client requirements, tone of voice, and clarify deadlines.

Before any writing begins, I like to take time to digest what I’ve learnt on the briefing call, emailing questions to confirm my understanding, if required.

The brief is always fulfilled within the agreed timescales. Amends are rare and turned around efficiently.

My approach

The messaging I create forms part of a larger programme of work that helps an organisation talk to their employees in a different, more engaging way. The end client always responds with positive feedback on the quality of content and accuracy of tone of voice. My input helps JSX to deliver on their commitments and fulfil the client’s objectives.
